AD240U Fast and reliable scanner
Avision AD240U is a two-sided scanner with the ability to scan plastic cards, business cards, standard or other documents up to 413 grams. / m2. Compared to its predecessors, the AD240U has a unique and innovative design and is capable of scanning documents up to 242 mm wide, making the scanner suitable for processing a wider range of documents.
Thanks to the direct paper feed path and image processing technology, mixed batches of documents of different densities and sizes can be processed. The size of the documents varies from 50 x 50 mm. up to 242 x 256 mm. The design of the automatic document feeder allows to process documents with a density up to 413 gr. / m2, as well as embossed plastic cards such as identity cards, credit cards, driver’s licenses and health insurance cards up to 1.25 mm thick.
Equipped with innovative, reversible roller drive technology for better paper separation, the AD240U guarantees exceptional reliability when processing a variety of document types.
With a built-in ultrasonic multi-feed detection sensor, the scanner will allow you to detect stuck sheets of paper by measuring their thickness. If a multi-feed is detected, a warning will be displayed.
The scanner input and output trays can be removed when the scanner is not in use. Cleaning the tray will also help protect the saw blade. Unlike large scanners, the compact AD240U can be easily placed on a desk without taking up much space.
Convenient, programmable buttons allow users to set up nine custom functions for different types of scans. For example, you can create file formats such as PDF, TIFF, JPEG, GIF, and BMP, scan to an email address, or create file documents at the touch of a button.
The AD240U scanner comes with TWAIN, ISIS and other useful applications: Button Manager Avision, AvScan, and PaperPort 14SE. With Button Manager, you can create a searchable PDF document and send it to email, printer or Google DriveTM, Facebook or Evernote® applications.
